A GreenLight campaign is an audience test for a creative project. You set it up, real audience members take it, and the platform compiles their responses — along with behavioural signals like hesitation time per question — into a GreenLight Report with on-chain proof.

Campaigns work for any creative project: feature films, TV pilots, limited series, podcasts, games, graphic novels — any concept with a potential audience and a question worth asking.

Campaign lifecycle

1

Create the campaign

From Creator Centre, click New Campaign. Give your project a title, logline, and optional description. Attach any publicly shareable teaser material — a synopsis, mood board, poster, or short excerpt.

2

Write your test questions

Design questions that test emotional resonance ('How invested are you in this character after reading this scene?'), concept clarity ('How clearly did you understand the central premise?'), and purchase intent ('How likely are you to watch this when it premieres?'). The more specific your questions, the more actionable your results.

3

Set campaign parameters

Choose how long the campaign runs, the minimum number of responses for a valid report, and whether the test is public (discoverable on the Discover page) or invite-only (only accessible via a direct link you share).

4

Launch and share

Publish your campaign. Audience members find it on the Discover page or via your direct link. Test completion time depends on the materials and questions and walks them through your project material followed by the test questions. Hesitation signals are recorded automatically — no extra setup required.

5

Generate your report

Once you hit the minimum response threshold, generate a GreenLight Report. This triggers AI analysis of all responses and produces your GreenLight Score, per-question breakdowns, segment analysis, and blockchain proof.

Use WritersRoom's GreenLight Preparer first

Before launching a campaign, switch to GreenLight Preparer mode in the WritersRoom cockpit to refine your test questions and project summary. It's specifically designed to help you package a project for audience testing — and produces better questions than starting from scratch.
