A credit's badge describes its evidence or review status; adding a credit does not make it platform-verified. Verification status is controlled by the server.
Credit status meanings
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Self-declared | Entered by the creator without an accepted external match or completed platform review. |
| TMDB match / IMDb dataset match | Matched against the named external source. This is distinct from a GreenLightOS staff review. |
| Pending review | Supporting proof has been submitted and awaits review; it is not already verified. |
| Platform Verified | Reviewed and confirmed through the platform's verification process. |
| Disputed / legacy Verified labels | Existing records can show these states. Read the specific badge and evidence rather than treating all labels as the same trust tier. |
You may upload relevant supporting evidence through the credit's proof controls. Peer attestation is an additional endorsement, not automatic replacement for document or database checks; the attesting account must satisfy the platform's verified-credit requirement. Keep role, project and year accurate, and use dispute/review support when evidence conflicts.
